Xinyang Overseas Vocational and Technical College

The college currently has 1,800 full-time undergraduate students. The campus covers an area of 400 acres. The total investment for the first phase of the project is nearly 200 million yuan, with a construction area of over 60,000 square meters. The college has on-campus e-commerce incubation bases, clothing companies, a national second-level driving school, and various internship and training centers for mechanical processing. Currently, it offers 24 undergraduate majors such as Business Management, Construction Engineering Management, Facility Agriculture Technology, and Clothing Technology, as well as over 20 short-term training majors such as Japanese, Korean, and Welding. The college annually trains over 3,000 students. The college is a national education base for poverty alleviation through overseas employment. It is also the only institution in Henan Province that dispatches students for employment to South Korea. Through the college, students can find high-paying jobs in developed countries such as South Korea and Japan. The college is a brand vocational college in Henan Province and an outstanding brand institution for ideological and political education in colleges. It adheres to the vocational education model of "dual education for college education, overseas employment, and return to the country for entrepreneurship", with the main goal of cultivating skilled, managerial, and entrepreneurial application-oriented talents. 

The college's predecessor was the Xin County Overseas Labor Training Center. It began training and dispatching overseas labor personnel in 1994 and was approved by the Ministry of Commerce for the qualification of overseas labor dispatch. Up to now, it has dispatched over 32,000 students to 20 countries and regions such as Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with a total of 7,000 students working abroad all year round, generating over 150 million US dollars in foreign exchange annually. Overseas workers earn over 300,000 yuan in Japan and over 500,000 yuan in South Korea after working for three years and five years respectively. Xinyang Overseas College has built a bridge and expressway for foreign vocational education for young people in Henan Province, allowing them to study professional skills domestically, work abroad, and then return to their hometowns for entrepreneurship. It has played a good exemplary and leading role in the province.
